Performance for competency evaluation of radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures in assigned radiology departments under the direct supervision of a registered radiologic technologist. Students draw upon principles of anatomy, patient care, radiation protection, and radiographic technique in the practice of patient positioning. Clinical experience is gained through attendance and completion of the course objectives.

1. position patients accurately in all radiographic and fluoroscopic
examinations as taught in Rad T 61A, 61B, 61C, and other clinical
courses.
2. successfully complete the required schedule of competencies.
3. complete the clinical hour requirements.
Topics and Scope

Under the supervision of the clinical instructor at the clinical
affiliate, students are to:
1. practice positioning and transporting on patients of all ages and
health conditions.
2. prove competency in all radiologic examinations as taught thus far.
3. practice appropriate radiation protection to patients of all ages and
health conditions, and to others.
4. conduct in ethical and professional manner.
