Description:
The Wine Studies: Enology Certificate of Achievement prepares students for skills such as general chemistry, wine microbiology fundamentals, laboratory techniques, principles and practices of wine analysis methods during cellaring operations, laboratory/quality control tests as prescribed by company procedures.
This program prepares students for a variety of positions in the wine industry, including but not limited to: Winery Laboratory Technician, Cellar Worker, Cellar Master.
For students interested in an Associate degree, a Wine Studies: Enology major is available.

Program Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this certificate, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of general chemistry principles, wine microbiology fundamentals, and laboratory techniques; and
- Demonstrate practices of wine analysis methods during cellaring operations, laboratory/quality control tests as prescribed by company procedure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of the wine industry including product evaluation and common wine business practices.
