Description:
The Winery Maintenance Mechanic Skills Certificate program prepares individuals for employment as winery maintenance mechanics. Instruction is provided in the fundamentals of programmable logic controllers, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating motors, welding, machine tool technology, business ethics, mathematics, basic computer skills, reading and writing improvement, and communication skills.
Upon completion of a paid internship, students in the Winery Maintenance Mechanic program will receive an industry certification, validating that the student has mastered the job skills identified by the winery industry.
This program was created in cooperation with local wineries that have a need for trained mechanics to maintain and service winery equipment. Possible job titles include: technician, machine technician/specialist, machine operator, maintenance worker, maintenance mechanic.
