Important Information About This Class:

Class focuses on Reading the Poets Laureate. Class will be reading and discussing the poetry of US Poets Laureate, as well as learning about the poets. Participants will read a wide range of contemporary, American poets who have achieved the highest poetic honor in our country - being named US Poet Laureate. Class is open to any interested person and no prior experience in poetry is necessary. Class time will include reading selections of poetry aloud, followed by guided, exploratory discussion. Reading outside of class is optional, though a home reading list will be provided.
