At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

     1. To provide the student with a fundamental understanding of

        water supply systems for firefighting.

     2. To enable students to enforce the proper codes to eliminate

        electrical hazards.

        c. Local fire alarm systems

        a. Determination of adequate egress

        a. Relationship of fire protection and building construction

Assignments:

  The student will:

     1. Identify, analyze (private; standpipe & hose systems; sprinkler)

        water systems.

     2. Identify and describe the various egress requirements for

        several building types.

     3. Prepare inspection requirements for heating & cooking equipment;

        and electrical equipment (UBC, UFC, and Electrical codes).
