At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Demonstrate expanded knowledge of the special studies topic orally, in writing, or via a research or other project.

 

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Analyze the topic of the independent study, orally or in writing, citing specific evidence from within the discipline of business.

2. Identify the relative significance of the topic or project to business.

3. Discuss resources (online, bibliographic) relative to their area of study.

4. Achieve the outcomes and objectives outlined in the special studies application.

Topics and Scope

Topics and scope will vary and will be related to the business project proposal, as agreed upon by the instructor.

Assignments:

Assignments vary depending upon the nature of individual student projects, but will typically fall into one of these categories:

1. A written research report

2. A directed project with a written report

3. A presentation and written report

4. A skill demonstration and written report
