At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. Identify various types of landscape maintenance power equipment.

2. Select appropriate equipment for the maintenance requirements of a

  landscape site.

3. Safely start and operate various types of landscape power equipment.

4. Inspect various types of landscape power equipment and perform routine

  operational adjustments.

I.  Power equipment identification, operation, care and safe use.

   A. Mowers

   B. Edgers

   C. Leaf blowers

   D. String trimmers

   E. Hedge shears

   F. Rototillers

   G. Sprayers

   H. Other selected equipment

Assignments:

1. Perform an operations inspection.

2. Complete and operations checklist.

3. Correctly operate the equipment.

4. Demonstrate proper use of equipment for a defined task.
