2. Safely use and maintain appropriate tools for pruning and training.

1. List six reasons for pruning or training trees and shrubs.
2. Discuss and explain the basics of when and how to prune trees and shrubs.
3. Identify and explain how tree conditions affect the types of necessary pruning.
4. Effectively and safely use hand pruning shears, lopping shears, folding and fixed handled
pruning saws.
